Analyst, Special Situations Group at LIM Advisors, Hong Kong
Mr. Desai grew up in India, studied at Princeton University in the US, lived in Mongolia and now invests in Central Asia, Middle East, Africa, and South Asia from Hong Kong. He believes that the interaction between the BRICs and frontier markets in Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe will determine the rise of the next ‘China’ or ‘India’.

How China, Brazil, India and the newly prosperous emerging nations are investing massive amounts in the unique set of opportunities on offer in frontier markets because of their shared experiences and the challenges they may face.
Bio: Adi grew up in Rajkot, a small Indian city (of a million people). He worked at CQS Management and JPMorgan in London and New York before deciding to spend a year researching and working in the financial industry of Ulan Bator, Mongolia. Adi currently works on Special Situations at LIM Advisors, a hedge fund in Hong Kong, investing in diverse locations such as Kazakhstan, West Africa, India, Australia and Middle East.
Education: Adi studied Economics at Princeton University, NJ, USA and holds a BA in Economics.
